I've had all 7 versions of Titler Pro and fully appreciate the excellent titles that it can produce, but it has been let down by many techy problems over the years - probably from TP4 onwards. But again, NewBlueFX has mostly but not completely fixed those problems. if you do a forum search using 'Titler Pro 7' as keywords, you'll find a lot of comments about the earlier builds of TP7 over the last few months. Previous versions of TP did not have this lag problem at. The latest build of TP7 is greatly improved but still suffers from a bit of lag within Vegas Pro. The TP7 standalone however was not a problem - but then there is no background image to design the title over if that design requirement was necessary. Until the latest build of TP7, TP7 was virtually unusable within Vegas Pro because positioning titles over the background image was not even close to real-time and suffered from huge time lag or having to click on the TP7 window in order to get the repositioning to update in Vegas Pro. I say 'fundamentally' because, although you can get amazing results, in many ways it's extremely frustrating to use Titler Pro 7 is fundamentally a brilliant plug-in. Take a look at my TP7 tutorials on YouTube (my channel name is Veteran Video Editor) to get an idea of its potential. It's not possible to detail all the benefits of TP7 here. You can also share designs between titles so that a change in the design of one title automatically updates the design of other titles that are shared. The learning curve is quite steep (I've produced a number of tutorials about TP7 on YouTube, but most of them are for old builds), but as I have said, the results are well worth the effort.Īs a plug-in you can create many titles or lower thirds on your VP timeline. It can also be added as an event FX but is not normally used that way. It can be added to the timeline in the same manner as the Titles & Text plug-in but it opens in its own full size window (best used with two monitors). Usage:- It has its own entry in the Media Generator tab and has only a default preset. It didn't used to be, but there have been so many builds of TP7, each build introducing more inconsistencies, that it's quite challenging to use.
